Sometimes less is actually more.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The problem with most SFA/CRM/ERP software is that it is developed to cover as many markets as possible.   The inevitable result is a dilution of the usefulness of the product.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Tossing on my software engineer's cap for a moment, I can tell you that at the application development level the more universally usable you have to make the app, the more abstract you must make the architecture.  More abstraction means more layers of UI required to get all the necessary data into the database.  More UI layers means a greater probablity of a cumbersome, confusing, and ultimately useless app (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics CRM).</description>
